Varsity
Player of the Week, DJ Petropulos!
The
tenth Souhegan Baseball Varsity Player of the
Week for the 2009 season is presented to DJ
Petropulos.

D
J (Junior) has solidified the Souhegan defense
with his outstanding play behind the plate. In
addition to his leadership of the pitching
staff, D J threw out two runners attempting to
steal a base in both the Portsmouth and Con-Val
games. Batting in the fourth slot of the batting
order, D J's stroke has added a potent bat for
the Sabers offensive attack.
Varsity
Player of the Week, John Barnes!
The
ninth Souhegan Baseball Varsity Player of the
Week for the 2009 season is presented to John
Barnes.

John
(Senior) has been an individual who has given
his all in each and every practice and is always
prepared to assist the team in any possible
manner. In the Hollis / Brookline game, John was
the designated hitter and added depth to the
batting order helping to ignite the offense in
an important contest for the Sabers tournament
run. John work ethic in practice is highlighted
the importance he takes in each swing during
batting practice and as a first baseman he
focuses on each ground ball or throw ball at
first base.
