The eighth Player of the Week for the 2012 season was presented to Tyler Ford. Tyler is a junior, shortstop. During the past week, Tyler has solidified the Souhegan infield with hi strong play at shortstop. His play has been very consistent at shortstop and has brought the play of the team defense to a higher level. At the plate, Tyler gives the team a quality at bat in every time at the plate. Chandler MacKenzie is the Sub-Varsity Player of the Week. The sophomore right hander pitched 6 strong innings to beat rival Hollis-Brookline 6-5 this past week. The righty struck out 9 Cavaliers, walking 2, while scattering 9 hits and 3 runs over the 6 innings. He improved his record to 2-0 this season, while he lowered his ERA to 4.97. More details...

Congratulations to Souhegan Seniors Robert Graham and Emily Ballantyne, this years recipients of the Souhegan High School Senior Sportsmanship Award!
Former Souhegan Saber and '96 High School alumni David A. Cox passed away on April 27th. David was raised and educated in Mont Vernon and graduated from Souhegan High School, class of 1996. He earned his bachelor's degree in sociology from the University of New Hampshire, class of 2001, and was an active member of the Zeta Chi Fraternity.
He had been employed as a regional manager for Tire Warehouse. He enjoyed attending sporting events and liked golfing, fishing and baseball. During high school, he was captain of the Souhegan Sabers baseball and golf teams. David loved spending time with family and friends. He was a devoted son, brother, uncle and grandson. On Friday, April 17, 2009, Thomas Underwood (Plymouth High School) and Bill Dod (Souhegan High School) entered the 450 win club.
The Plymouth Bobcats defeated Laconia 13 to 2 and the Souhegan Sabers defeated Con-Val Regional 11-7.

KEENE,N.H. 4/14/09 - Keene State's Jamie Chevalier was presented with his Gold
Glove Award. Chevalier was one of nine Division III players named to the
ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove team last season. The junior
posted a fine .980 fielding percentage while helping the Owls turn a program high 49 double plays this past season.
